Für das Fördern und Erreichen einer selbstbestimmten Teilhabe am sozialen Leben sind eine akkurate Diagnostik wie auch eine effiziente Therapie entwicklungsbedingter und erworbener Sprach-, Sprech-, Stimm- und Schluckstörungen unabdingbar. Mehrsprachigkeit nimmt eine zunehmend größere Rolle im beruflichen Alltag von uns Logopäden und akademischen Sprachtherapeuten ein und darf nicht außer Acht gelassen werden. Aufgrund meiner eigenen Mehrsprachigkeit (deutsch/polnisch) und die meiner beiden Kinder weiß ich, dass die sprachlichen Kompetenzen bilingualer Kinder und Erwachsener mit einem genaueren Blick betrachtet werden müssen.

Im Jahr 2016 beendete ich mein Masterstudium Klinische Linguistik an der Philipps-Universität Marburg. Seitdem habe ich mehrere Jahre in einer neurologischen Rehabilitationsklinik gearbeitet. Dort konnte ich umfassende Erfahrungen hinsichtlich der Diagnostik und Therapie neurologischer Krankheitsbilder (u.a. Schlaganfall, Multiple Sklerose, Morbus Parkinson oder ALS) sammeln. Des Weiteren verfüge ich über solide Erfahrungen in der Arbeit mit Kindern. Eine Zeit lang habe ich auch mit Kindern mit geistiger Behinderung gearbeitet.

Ich bin ein wissbegieriger und zielstrebiger Mensch, der einen emphatischen Umgang mit seinen Patienten schätzt. Das gemeinsame Erfassen und Erreichen eines therapeutischen Ziels mit Ihnen und/oder Ihrem Kind ist für mich unabdingbar.

Die Arbeit bei TinyEye erweitert meinen therapeutischen Horizontischen und ermöglicht die Therapie über Grenzen hinweg.

I am a (neurological) speech therapist, myofunctional therapist, learning disabilities therapist and early years education specialist. I graduated as a bachelor from the University of Gdansk, as a master from the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Education in Warsaw and as a postgraduate from my alma mater in Gdansk, where I am from. I am fluent in Polish, English and Dutch.

I have lived in the Netherlands since 2007. Until August 2022, it was The Hague. Currently, I live in the Heuvelland in South Limburg. During this time I have worked as a teacher and therapist in Dutch and international nurseries, playgroups and schools, as well as at the Polish School at the Embassy of Poland in The Hague (locations in The Hague and Brunssum) and in my own private speech therapy practice - Papla Kletskous.

I am qualified to make speech therapy diagnoses with Polish standardised instruments - TRJ (Language Development Test) and KOLD (Child Logopedic Assessment Cards).

The work of a speech therapist is extremely fascinating. It is my passion. That is why I am constantly continuing my education, not only through postmaster studies, but also through numerous courses. For several years now, I have also been working online. I am still discovering the secrets of this rather new (for me) form of working.

My patients are mainly children with delayed language and speech development, dyslalia (articulation disorders) and SLI/DLD - TOS (language development disorder). I also provide therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder, aphasia, dyspraxia and more. I also work with adults and babies. I often use myofunctional therapy, as many articulation problems are caused by disorders within functions (e.g. swallowing, breathing). With this therapy, I also support orthodontic treatments with good results.

I try to carry out speech therapy prevention by spreading knowledge about bilingualism/multilingualism. I often give trainings and workshops for Polish schools in the Netherlands and Belgium, and even remotely for more distant schools.

Privately, I am a mother of a bilingual boy, my husband is Dutch, so I also know the challenges and dilemmas around bilingualism/multilingualism from the parents' side.

I provide speech and language therapy (language and articulation) in Polish and OMFT (oro-myofunctional therapy) in English and Dutch.
